Assignment 8- Elizabeth Salamanca

Fears: being alone, disappointing people I care about, failure
Annoyances: when people don't use their turn signal, whistling
Accomplishments: having a 4.0, being able to play flute and piano
Confusions: how some people can not care about their school performance
Sorrows: there's never enough time, lack of talent or motivation
Dreams: to have a family, become an engineer, get married
Idiosyncrasies: math lover
Risks: I'm highly allergic to grass and I ignore that, I'm hypoglycemic and I forget to eat all the time
Beloved Possessions: American Girl Dolls (then), my boyfriend's class ring (now)
Problems: time management, perfectionism

I got my first American Girl Doll (Elizabeth Cole) when I was five from my Grandmother. After that, she gave me one a year at Christmas until I finally convinced her she could stop. She spoiled me rotten. She would hand me the catalog and say "circle anything that you would want." Every Christmas, under the tree, there would be at least forty small, individually wrapped American Girl boxes. I would get dolls, clothes, furniture, anything. Now, I have Elizabeth, Felicity, Ruthie, Kit, Julie, Josefina, Nikki, Lanie, Caroline, Kirsten, and more that I can't even remember off the top of my head. We still find randoms boxes from these Christmases all over the house. My grandma now has dementia, and can't remember buying all of these things for me. Sometimes I'll take a doll over to her hospital and remind her of the day she gave it to me. She bought me so much, there's no shortage of memories.
