Assignment 14- Brianna Scott

When I wake up on Thanksgiving morning, it's usually to the smell of bacon. Mom cooks a huge breakfast, and we sit and watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. We usually talk about how odd some of the floats are, why they're even in the parade, and that the singers on the floats aren't actually singing. After we eat breakfast and clean up, we go do into Thanksgiving-meal mode. I usually help my mom, and my brother and dad come in every once and a while and try to look like they're getting something done. After that we either go to my great-grandparents house, which is extremely small. Especially when you shove 45 people into it. Sometimes instead of going there, we have a small number of people at our house and then go over to visit after most people have gone home. We end the day with shopping. I've just recently been allowed to go as I'm getting older, but it does take away some of the magic of Christmas. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, not only because you get to eat lots of food but also because it leads up to my all-time favorite holiday- Christmas.
