assignment 12 - Ethan MacGillivray

I am a soccer ball. I was designed for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. I'm not a fake, not a replica; I'm the best of the best, used in the World Cup final between Germany and Argentina. The best players in the world kicked me around, including Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero, Manuel Neuer, and my best friend, Mario Gotze, to name a few. It was just an average game for me, until the game went into extra time since neither team had scored in the first 90 minutes. I was passed to Andre Schurlle, and he dribbled me down the left wing of the field, past two or three defenders, and chipped me into the middle of the box, where Mario Gotze was waiting. He took me beautifully of his chest, and volleyed me with his left foot, past Sergio Romero into the side netting. It was the greatest moment of my life, being scored on the big stage, and starting my friendship with Mario Gotze. He kept me, and I now live at his house in Germany, where he plays for Borussia Dortmund. I watch over all he does, and whatever happens for the rest of our lives, we will have an unbreakable bond stemming from the World Cup winning goal.
