Assignment 13 - Claire Thompson

This is the post I kept putting of writing. I had no idea what to write. Instead of writing it I watched Throw Momma from the Train (1987) (directed by and starring the great Danny Devito) on TV, looked at typewriters on craigslist for 30 minutes, and read more or less 5 Wikipedia articles on Abstract Expressionist artists. I worked on a little bit of web homework for physics, I did a few key terms for APUSH. I did just about everything except write this blog entry. Basically I don’t know what to write for this. I could have written about patriarchy (about how white men monopolize the socioeconomic environment in the US) or about how people stigmatize mental illness or about white people’s lack of empathy for POC or whatever. I could have written about the very horrifying outcome of the election—really topical stuff! But no, I just don’t have the spoons. Also, I’m not very funny. Sorry, everyone! Sorry, Mr. Logsdon! That’s that! We’re all probably better off without reading my satirical writing anyway!

  1. you could have written a post about how throwing mama from the train - that throwing all mamas from trains is a perfectly legitimate way to deal with family tension and incessant guilt trips that only moms can give - a train trip for all the guilt trips
