Assignment 11 - Haley Drake

The modern concept and image of zombies owes itself almost entirely to the 1968 film, Night of the Living Dead. The popularization of the film led to the zombie apocalypse craze, and now it's not uncommon to hear about some paranoid man building a bunker and accumulating an emergency food supply in preparation for when the undead attack. Even kids like me have an idea of what to do in a situation like this, so the following is my comprehensive plan on what to do in the event of the zombie apocalypse:

      Step 1: Panic!

Step 2: Once I'm done hyperventilating, I'll try to find somewhere to hide and attempt to barricade the entrance.

      Step 3: Continue panicking.

Step 4: Wait for death and/or someone to help me out because honestly I'm not fast enough, brave enough, or smart enough to defend myself against zombies so I really don't have a lot of options.

So there you have it. Some people would build a fortress and defend their friends and family, some people would search for a cure to zombification, and some people would fight off the zombies themselves. But if you're like me and you'd be one of those people that dies in the first two minutes of a horror movie, all we can do is find a nice spot to hide in the basement and hope for the best.
