Assignment 12- Reagan Smith

We don’t realize how much we depend on our phones in our daily lives until we are without them. Innovations such as Siri, Cortana, and other virtual personal assistants might make our phones seem more than just inanimate, however they still are.

iPhone- I begin the day by checking the weather. I’m constantly touched and I respond to the needs of my user by vibrating and displaying a notification- iMessage, email, GroupMe, Instagram, Twitter, etc. Some group texts “blow me up” as people are texting back and forth things that could be sent individually. I am constantly filled with important data, like pictures and videos that are irreplaceable. I protect these things by authenticating my owner with the touch of their finger on the sensor. This is no easy task, as I match up all of the ridges and curves of the fingerprint and compare them to the zeros and ones that I have in storage. Being a phone, especially an iPhone is a tough task, as my owner and Apple have high expectations.
