Assignment 26 - Erin Caudill
I've noticed that English classes normally are the classes that people feel are the least important. However, English has always been my favorite and I was thrilled when I got the chance to take an AP class that I knew I'd get better than a 3 on the test for. Sure, writing essays wasn't fun. Grading essays wasn't my favorite past time, but it did help a lot. I knew exactly what I was getting myself into when I walked into my testing room on May 10, and I knew I'd do well on it. While I can admit there were several days where I didn't want to go to English because I knew I'd have to try really hard to stay awake, I also knew it'd be beneficial to read more essays. The Socratic Seminars, on the other hand, caused me nothing but stress. I hate having to throw myself into a discussion with no structure for a grade. I always felt like there was never enough for me to say, or never a way for me to get full points.
