It’s hard to believe that my 11th out of 12th
(really 13th with Kindergarten) is coming to a close. Overall, it’s
been a successful year, shifting from 2 AP classes sophomore year, with a 6.5
class schedule to 4 AP classes this year, with nearly 9 classes including
Academy Seminar, a leadership class, Arts and Humanities, and EAP Mentoring.
All of this work has been stressful at times, but it will be worth it. The most
significant area that needs improvement is spacing out long term assignments. I
would get caught up in the day to day assignments that were due that night or
the next day and I would put off those that were due in a few days, or even a
few weeks. This is something I must change next year in preparation for
college. With that, my biggest summer/senior year goal is to carefully plan my
mentoring project at UK HealthCare. I want to finish at least 25% (of the 200
hours) before school starts in August.
