If I could be any fictional character, I would probably be Hermione Granger's cat from Harry Potter, Crookshanks. The cat is described as having an incredibly squashed face, and Hermione probably only bought him out of pity, but I don't really care. This way, I would still get to live in a world with magic and go to Hogwarts, but there wouldn't be nearly as much danger as if I picked Hermione herself or Harry or something. If you are wondering why I didn't pick the other cat in Harry Potter, Mrs. Norris (the cat of the squib Mr. Filch), well that cat gets paralyzed in the second movie and I don't want that.
Or, I would be Dinah from Alice In Wonderland. Honestly, nothing really happens to Dinah. She's just a cat that lies in the sun and naps all day. At the end, she has two kittens: Kitty and Snowdrop. I think Alice would take good care of me, and she would always have nice stories to tell.
Basically I just want to be a cat that is near the exciting stuff, but not in it.
