Assignment 21- Kathleen Gibbs

Right now, somewhere in the universe, more specifically, many people in our own state, Kentucky, are suffering from terrible health issues and are unable to get the help they need to feel better due t the complicated health care system in our country. I am aware that many people in the world are suffering of worse things, but in a country where smart phones are in the hands of 5-year-olds, we should be able to make affordable health-care for the masses. I don't know much about the current health-care system or much about the reasons health-care is not already available for people, but what I do know is that healthcare systems should be created off the basis of helping people, not making money. Putting money and personal interest aside and solely focusing on the good of the public should be way all policy is made, but especially health-care. Kids are sick and unable to get the medications and treatments they need and lives are being cut short due to incompetent health-care.
