The best advice I’ve ever gotten is to “put it in
perspective and enjoy every moment”. As a anxious person I can fuss over one
single thing or one decision for hours on end and every time my mom sees me
with my worry face on, she tells me to put it in perspective. It only takes a
second to actually think about and once I do, every time I feel more calm and
accepting of what happened. For example, with grades I will freak out over a 89
versus a 92 and in the long run, it couldn’t matter less. Right now it may seem
like the biggest deal but life will go on and if I think about my goals further
down the line and one grade in the scheme of things, it is most definitely not
as big of a deal as I think it is. Once I have calmed down from whatever the latest
drama is, I can finally experience and enjoy every moment because it will only
come once.
