Assignment 19 - Dylan Spradlin

The best advice I’ve ever received is being told, “if there’s a will; there’s a way”. While this seems like a simple statement, it truly pops into my head when I start to feel like something I’m trying to do is really hard or impossible to accomplish. During hard times in which I want to give up, I would ask my mom for advice and she gave me some helpful ideas that have always stuck with me. When she offered some tips and stayed around to help me complete a couple of the tasks, I felt lighter and I remember thinking maybe this will work after all. Whenever I was going through difficult times she always said, “if there’s a will; there’s a way”. Because I had gone through so much worry and come out of it, this advice really stuck in my head. This led me to the realization that no matter what battles I am put up against, if I want to figure out how to conquer it, I always can. I understood that it’s within me (sometimes with help) to figure anything out. In any situation I’m in now, I believe that with the right help, I can accomplish it.  This advice has affected the choices I make and all my possibilities. I don’t always have high goals. But, when I do, I know that if I put in the right kind of effort, I can achieve whatever I set my mind to do.
